Funeral Mass Offered For John Formisano

A funeral Mass was offered on Saturday, January 21 at St. Raphael’s Church for John Formisano, who died on Tuesday, January 17, at the age of 78. Arrangements were by Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home. Born and raised in Newark, Mr. Formisano lived in Livingston for the last 12 years. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was the former owner of Gateway Studios and later worked for Conrail before retiring in 2003. Mr. Formisano was predeceased by five siblings, Frank, Rosie, Susan, Louie, and Tony. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol; his son, John Jr. and his wife, Christie; two grandchildren; and his brother, William, and sister, Carmella Capko. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
