Funeral Services Held For Joseph Scardena

Joseph L. Scardena, 85, died at Alaris Health of West Orange on Tuesday, February 7. Arrangements were by Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston. Mr. Scardena was born in Newark and grew up in Irvington before moving to Livingston 58 years ago. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War and was a member of the Livingston Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2856. Mr. Scardena was a retired sheet metal mechanic for Sheet Metal Workers Union No. 25. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Connie (Doyle); his children, Kathy Leong (Roland), Stephen (Ellen), Joseph (Sally), Mary Ellen Stefanak (Frank) and Len; and eight grandchildren Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
