Dr. Mariano Obias Dies on February 20

Dr. Mariano Dy-Liacco Obias, 90, of Livingston died on Monday, February 20. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mather-Hodge Funeral Home in Princeton. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, February 25, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s R.C. Church, also in Princeton. Dr. Obias received a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley; a PhD. from Stanford University, and did post-doctoral studies at Yale University. He is survived by his wife, Luz (Villena) Obias; a son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Lea Obias; a daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Gina Obias and David Zimmer; and two grandchildren.
