Geraldine Elaine Rosenthal (nee Cohen), 85, of Parsippany, died August 16 after a battle with dementia. Born in Newark, Mrs. Rosenthal lived in Livingston and Williamstown, and for the last fi ve years in Parsippany with her daughter and son-in-law. Married in 1951, she moved to Irvington, and started her family with her late husband, Alvin. She spent many years in Livingston, where she was a volunteer librarian at Riker Hill School and then worked as a compound distributor at Schering-Plough until her retirement. Mrs. Rosenthal held a B.S. from Rutgers University. Surviving are her daughter, Emily Suydam and her husband, Tyler; her son, Robert; and one grandchild. Arrangements were under the direction of the Par-Troy Funeral Home, Parsippany.
