Patricia (deMarrais) Waddon of Grand Rapids, Michigan, formerly of Livingston, died Wednesday, August 24, at the Porter Hills Health Center in Michigan. She was 89 years old. Mrs. Waddon was born in Oradell on October 10, 1926. She was graduated from Oradell High School in 1945 and worked as a secretary in New York City. In September, 1947, she wed Jack R. Waddon and moved to Montclair. The couple then lived in Livingston, where Mr. Waddon taught high school and Mrs. Waddon worked at the Board of Education. Her husband died in 1999, and Mrs. Waddon moved to Grand Rapids in 2002. In Michigan, Mrs. Waddon was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and her retirement community at Porter Hills Village. She is survived by her children, Nancy W. (Gerard) Hickey of East Grand Rapids; Bruce (Rose) Waddon, Goodyear, Arizona; and Gail Waddon and Scott Lumnah of Franklin, Massachusetts. She is also survived by her friend, Dr. William Kinkade; her brother, David (Jody) deMarrais of Winter Park, Florida; and five grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 23, at the Meeting House at Porter Hills in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
