James William Plant III, 61, of Manahawkin, died on Sunday, September 10. He previously lived in Livingston. Jim served in the U.S. Coast Guard, stationed out of Cape May, and worked on NOAA research ships. He was employed for 35 years as a superintendent for the East Orange Water Commission. Mr. Plant was predeceased by his father, James William Plant Jr. He is survived by his mother, Mildred (nee Bolton) Plant; wife, Lea (nee Tenewitz) Plant; daughter, Terry Plant; and sisters, Linda Wagoner and Diane Huck.
