Elaine Halper of Livingston passed away Friday evening, September 6, 2019. Funeral services were held on Sunday, September 8, at Temple Beth Shalom, 193 E. Mount Pleasant Avenue, Livingston.
Married for 63 years to Samuel Halper, she was blessed with three children, seven grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
A dedicated member and past president of Beth Shalom, she has held leadership positions in many other Jewish organizations. Her work with Judaism and family defined her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Grinspan; her son, Jeffrey and daughter-in-law Amy Halper; and daughter, Roni Stern; and their children.
As wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, congregant and community leader, she will be missed for her generosity, her spunk and the amazing role model she set for all.
