Edward Murray Dim, also known as Murray Dim, died at home in Scottsdale, Arizona on December 26. Born in Newark, Mr. Dim lived in East Orange and Livingston and was a member of the East Orange Fire Department for 30 years. After retiring he worked for the Essex County Court House. Mr. Dim joined the Air Force during World War II, serving in India. He maintained a dual membership with the Livingston and Scottsdale Masonic Lodges, and volunteered at the Scottsdale Healthcare Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Edie; and two sons, David Martin of Brooklyn, New York, and Edward Stephen of Scottsdale. He was predeceased by his sisters, Rose Bailin and Belle Dim, and his brother, Sam Dim. He was the son of the late Max and Esther Dim. Arrangements were by Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home.
