Robert Steven Tolstoi died unexpectedly on Friday, August 26, at the age of 52.
A funeral service was held Sunday, August 28, at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel of Livingston. Burial followed at the Sharon Gardens Cemetery in Valhalla, New York.
Mr. Tolstoi was born in Livingston and graduated from Livingston High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Towson State University. For over 20 years, he worked as a financial advisor.
Mr. Tolstoi was predeceased by his father, Melvin Tolstoi. He is survived by his wife, Linda Lowenthal, whom he married in 1998; his son, Michael; his daughters, Lara and Brooke; his mother, Dolores; and two sisters, Elissa and Gail.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that donations be made in Mr. Tolstoi’s honor to the charity of one’s choice.
