August 2, 1927-August 26, 2016
Al Stoloff passed away Friday evening, August 26, in Livingston, NJ at age 89. He grew up the son of immigrant parents in the Bronx. Through hard work and chemistry education, he achieved respect and renown, as an expert on the weatherability of vinyl siding. He and his wife of 60 years traveled the globe. They volunteered for many causes, including the Livingston Library and running a kosher food pantry. In his retirement, he rediscovered his love of duplicate bridge. Al was the beloved and loving husband of Jean Stoloff; and father and father-in-law of Robin and Benjamin Steinman, Jonathan Stoloff and Carol Sacks, and Avron and Jean Stoloff. He was the loving grandfather of David, Talia, Jason, Eric, Alan, Michael, and Nadia. His warmth, kindness and sense of humor will be much missed. The family welcomes donations in his memory at Friends of Yad Sarah or the Community Food Bank of Hillside, NJ.
