Sybil McPherson Seymour Aronson died on September 7 at the Cliffs at Eagle Rock in West Orange. She was 93 years old. Interment was held privately. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 14, at 11:30 a.m. at the Cliffs Chapel, 707 Eagle Rock Avenue, West Orange. Born in New York City, Mrs. Aronson was the eldest of two daughters born to William Edwin Seymour and Bertha Neander. She attended Brown University. In 1951, she married Eric G. Aronson, and they had one son, Lance T. Aronson. Mrs. Aronson was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Daughters of the Confederacy, the South Carolina Huguenot Society, and the American Scottish Society. She was also a board member of Newark Academy. In addition, she served as president of the Ladies’ Golf Association of Essex County Country Club and won numerous golf tournaments over the years. She resided in her homes in Livingston and in Warwick Parish, Bermuda, as well. For more than a decade, Mrs. Aronson volunteered at the Cliff at Eagle Rock, in its community relations and marketing department. Predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Eric G. Aronson, and her sister, Drusilla Westbrook, Mrs. Aronson is survived by her son, Lance T. Aronson (Karen), and three grandchildren.
